Open letter outlining changes to Normandy Business Group and Normandy Jelly

Dear NBG member

As many of you will know, I am now in the UK, looking after elderly parents who need more time than I could give whilst living in France.  As is the way of these things, life has got very busy on the UK side of the channel, and I can no longer give Normandy Business Group the attention it deserves.

I am delighted that Suzanne Pearce is taking over the group from me, and I am sure you will join me in thanking her and wishing her well.   I could not have got the group up and running without her and her sterling and stalwart help and support has been invaluable – not to mention the best B&B in Normandy!

This is what being a member of NBG is all about though – the giving back, and thinking about where and how you can all help each other.  It’s known as ‘paying it forward’.  Being generous in support of someone else – and it is amazing how often you are rewarded unexpectedly as a result.

Many of you have been very good at giving to the group – free advertising, your time, donating draw prizes,  and so on.  Nothing is too small if it helps someone else.  You know who you are, and I am very grateful.

Please do carry on the group; I will stay a member if I may, and nothing would delight me more than to see it go on to even bigger and better things under Suzanne’s stewardship and with your support.

(On a less positive note, I am disappointed that, despite reminders, I am still out of pocket thanks to those members who didnt pay for their share of the Normandy Advertiser advert).

I have one more business column to write for Normandy Advertiser, which I hope you have all enjoyed reading.  Paul Phillips will be writing the next instalments, and his input will, I feel sure, be very useful to you all.

I’ll leave it to Suzanne – with your help – to take NBG forward.

Many thanks to you all,

Cordialement,  JudyM
